I've always felt passionate about glass in all its forms, and fell in love with lampwork beads when I bought some to make presents for my daughters.
I subsequently signed up for a lesson with Beverley Hicklin, and never looked back. That was in January 2010, and as I had no work in the early part of that year I spent a lot of time at the torch. Subsequently I attended a course with Astrid Reidel, who I found very inspiring. Probably she and Anouk Jasperse are my main influences, although I admire the work of many of the talented lampworkers around the world. It’s great in these times of easy internet communication to be part of such a large community who so generously share their work and their experience
I make my beads using. Italian and American glass rods with various inclusions such as silver and gold leaf, and dichroic glass, but mostly I am obsessed with exploring the endless possibilities of silver glass. My style is turning out to be big and bold, and I love colour , iridescence, and opalescence.

I’ve had a varied career as a craftsman and teacher in ceramics, music, confectionery and now lampworking.
I live and work in the small Lincolnshire town of Alford in the U K producing mainly large individual focal beads which sell to collectors all round the world.
